The Rockschool Ukulele syllabus is an ideal introduction to developing stringed instrument technique in a contemporary music setting, whilst introducing students to Rockschool’s world-renowned range of stylistically appropriate and relevant supporting tests. Each grade includes full ensemble backing tracks and duet arrangements, providing students with the opportunity to perform as both accompanists and soloists. Ukulele with a difference. Intro to Composition The huge array of ever-evolving styles in contemporary music can often seem as daunting as it is appealing. The 2017 Ukulele syllabus is a perfect introduction to popular songwriting and composition in a variety of styles and genres. Repertoire Featuring repertoire from artists such as Taylor Swift, Adele, Pharrell Williams, Bob Dylan, U2, David Bowie, Bill Withers, The Who, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Coldplay, The Killers, Biffy Clyro, Bruno Mars, Jess Glynne, Jason Mraz, George Ezra and James Bay Duet arrangements The 2017 Ukulele syllabus incorporates duet arrangements, at every grade, that allow each candidate to perform in a duet or ensemble setting, either with their teacher or fellow students

  • Had a fantastic afternoon at Sip n Strum with Di, Anne and a few others. It's awesome fun! I've never played an instrument in a group before. It was challenging but I learned a new skill of listening to others around me, can't wait till the next one

  • Yes we'd love Asha to continue with her Ukulele in Term 4. We've really seen a great improvement with her & she's willing to practice without being asked..... Very happy.

  • A big thank you to Di for organizing a gorgeous ukulele concert of some ukulele students, the crowd absolutely loved the "Moriukes" and many guests commented how impressed they were and it made their day! Thank you also for your donation of a ukulele and lesson for an auction item.
